New Parliament Foundation Stone will be laid by PM Modi on Dec 10

On Dec 10 PM Modi will lay the Foundation Stone of the New Parliament which is to be build under the guidance of current BJP Government.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has Invited PM Narendra Modi officially to lay the foundation Stone of the new parliament and also announced it officially on his twitter .

Now Let Know Some thing about this Project
Construction of New Parliament House has been arised in 2010 and in 2012 a committee was made by that time Speaker Mira Kumar to make the New Parliament House.

Current Building is 93 Year Old and will be replaced by the new one.

In 2019 Government of India launched Central Vista Redevelopment Project that included revamping Rajpath, making a new office and residence for Indian prime minister, construction of a new parliament and combining all ministerial buildings in a single central secretariat.

The new building will have an area of 64,500 square metres and is being built at an estimated cost of Rs 971 crore

The new building will be earthquake resistant and 11000 people will be directly or Indirectly involved in the construction of the new building.

The Lok Sabha may have 848 members by 2026. The new complex will be able to house 900 Lok Sabha MPs and 1350 members in total in parliament.
